Some of you just can't get enough of our tarts, but not to worry!! Well, have you ever thought of making your own cheese tarts? Here's a step-by-step recipe for you, and let's try making your very own Cheesy-Blueberry tarts now!!!
The Tart Shells (Pastry)
Ingredients:-
Butter/margerine - 200g
Icing sugar - 100g
Egg - 1
Wheat Flour - 400g
Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Methods:-
Icing sugar - 100g
Egg - 1
Wheat Flour - 400g
Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Methods:-
- Mix butter and icing sugar well
- Put in the egg and vanilla essence and mix well
- Add in the flour, mix and blend until a smooth dough is formed
- Put into a plastic bag or wrap in cling film then chill in the fridge for 25-30 minutes
- When chilled, roll out pastry on a lightly floured tabletop.
- Cut out circles to fit tart moulds, then carefully line the butter-greased moulds with the pastry
- Prick the base with a fork
- Bake the pastries in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-13 minutes
- Take them out from the mould and allow to cool
- Keep them in a jar until we have the filling ready :)
The Filling (Blueberry-Cheese)
Ingredients:-
Cream cheese - 250g
Castor sugar - 3 tablespoon
Butter - 2 tablespoon
Butter - 2 tablespoon
Egg - 1
Whipping cream - 6 tablespoon
Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoon
Blueberry Filling - 2 tablespoon
Whipping cream - 6 tablespoon
Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoon
Blueberry Filling - 2 tablespoon
- Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar
- Add in the egg and whipping cream then mix until it's light and smooth
- Add in the flour and and lightly stir until it mixes well
- Spoon a little blueberry filling into the pre-baked tart shells
- Then spoon the cheese mixture covering the filling (filling approx. 3/4 of a tart shell)
- You may drop a little blueberry filling on the top and swirl it using a toothpick to create a marble effect
- Bake the tarts at 180°C for about 10-13 minutes.
- Remove from oven to cool before serving
